Mark Ferrell
Pastor Mark and Patricia Ferrell love to help people get closer to Christ and build their faith in God. One way to build faith and overcome doubt is to understand the Bible and God’s messages. Pastor Mark enjoys taking easy Bible passages and making them relevant to everyday life, and taking difficult Bible texts and making them easy to understand for those worshipping with us. One of his favorite Bible texts is Jeremiah 29:13-14: “‘You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the LORD.” Many people tell us that they have a greater appreciation for Christ and His word as they listen to Pastor Mark’s sermons and Bible Studies, both while attending our worship services as well as listening online. Patricia is involved with the various children’s ministries in our church, and during the week works with our veterans at the VA Medical Center. One of her favorite Bible passages is Philippians 4:4-8: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” In his free time Pastor Mark enjoys mountain biking and paragliding while Patricia enjoys letterpress printing and gardening, and they both love to explore the beautiful Bay Area together with their two furry little dogs, Kimchi and Kimbap.
