96 The Spacious FirmamentHaydn! Our Hymn of Praise is #96, The Spacious Firmament on High, and it is set to the music of Franz Joseph Haydns famous Creation Oratorio. Haydns career was spent in Vienna and London, and he composed more than 100 symphonies. He prefaced all his works with the Latin words In nomine Domini ("in the Lords name") and closed them with the words Laus Deo ("praise God"). The words also are by a great figure in English literature, Joseph Addison, who is best known for his essays in The Tattler, and in The Spectator, which he published. Isaac Watts and John Wesley regarded both his style and his viewpoints highly. This hymn first appeared in The Spectator of August 23, 1712. 02/26/00MIDI

Grace Notes was a joint production of the late Minister of Music, Steve Gungl, and former Pastor John Duge. It relies heavily on The Companion to the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal and The SDA Digital Hymnal.
