70 Praise Ye the FatherToday's hymn, Praise Ye the Father for His Loving-Kindness (loving-kindness is often used to translate the Hebrew word hesed in the King James Bible). Elizabeth Charles wrote the words, not in rhyme, but in rhythm, praising the Trinity. It is based on 2 Corinthians 13:14The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. The tune, FLEMMING, commemorates the composer Friedrich Flemming, who composed it for a male choir, to accompany a poem from the Roman poet Horace entitled Upright of Life, Pure from Guilt. Flemming was a physician, who wrote music for a hobby.

Grace Notes was a joint production of the late Minister of Music, Steve Gungl, and former Pastor John Duge. It relies heavily on The Companion to the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal and The SDA Digital Hymnal.
