7 The Lord In Zion ReignethOur Hym of Praise today is The Lord In Zion Reigneth, written by the beloved blind hymn-writer Fanny Crosby. Most of her church music was gospel songs: simple, earnest, and subjective; but a strong hymn of this character shows her capability in this genre as well. This is one of her few true hymns: strong, majestic, and inspiring. James White owned the original copyright of this hymn, and it first appeared in the first Adventist hymnal, Hymns and Tunes. The tune is by Hart Danks. Danks was a carpenter, but wrote over a thousand songs. He also did the tune for No Night There in our hymnal.

Grace Notes was a joint production of the late Minister of Music, Steve Gungl, and former Pastor John Duge. It relies heavily on The Companion to the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal and The SDA Digital Hymnal.
