Potluck Ideas
The
kitchen committee and potluck leaders have made some suggestions
of easy things to bringespecially ideas for those
who are not used to cooking for larger numbers of people.
Please
also remember that food brought to the kitchen for potluck
needs to be prepared by the persons who brings it. Our
potluck teams will place your casserole dishes in the
oven to warm them for you, if they are otherwise ready
to go. Please mark your containers with you name, and
leave warming instructions (written is best).
So, here are some suggestions:
- Deli trays of vegetables with or without dip
- Deli or bulk prepared salads
- Open-faced sandwiches spread with (your choicevegetarian)
- Bagels and cream cheeses
- Fruit breads
- Muffins
- Sliced bread
- Crackers
- Chips and dip, or with mild salsa or guacamole
sauce
- Party mix (crackers, nuts, etc.)
- Caramel corn or Cracker Jack
- Fruit - sliced, ready to eat
- Nuts
- Dried fruit, arranged on a tray
- Desserts (ready to eat)
- Ice cream, or ice cream bars
- Frozen fruit juice bars
- Large bags of frozen berries, etc., that could be
served over unfrosted cake or angel food cake
- Individual canned juices
- Large bags of frozen vegetables
